Welcome to Homehub.Guide! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Homehub.Guide (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Homehub.Guide, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Services

Homehub.Guide is a web application that provides three main services. 

  1. It allows users to organize and manage information about home appliances, electronic devices, and household items using visual cards.
    1. Item cards can be shared and owners of similar items can contact each other anonymously.
    2. It tries to encourage the storage of electronic manuals. Manuals can be uploaded, stored, and viewed easily. We encourage staying away from paper manuals.
  2. It provides a visual scanner that can "read" images of appliance tags and create item cards with the model numbers without having to type in all those long character strings. General images of your appliance or device can also be used for "best guesses".
  3. It provides access to a home AI assistant that "knows" about your things (items can be hidden from the assistant).

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User-Generated Content

  • You may create, store, and manage content such as appliance/device details, notes, and manuals.
  • You retain ownership of the content you create. However, by using the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display the content as part of the application’s functionality.
  • Closing your account removes your content including appliance information cards as well as user manuals.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate applicable laws, contain illegal materials, or infringe on intellectual property rights.

5. Privacy and Data Security

  • Your use of Homehub.Guide is also governed by our Privacy Statement.
  • All data transmission occurs over a secure HTTPS connection.
  • You have control over whether your content remains private, is shared with other users, or is accessible to the AI assistant.

6. Prohibited Activities

By using Homehub.Guide, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the service or other users.
  • Upload or share harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
  • Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.

7. Communication Between Users

  • Users who share information on cards may contact each other anonymously through the platform.
  • We do not expose email addresses or personally identifiable information to other users.
  • We are not responsible for any disputes or interactions between users.

8. Subscription & Payment

  • A free-tier allows users to manage their home inventory without file storage.
  • Paid tiers provide additional features such as electronic manual storage, AI assistance and scanners.
  • Payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers. We do not store payment information.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

9. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Homehub.Guide at any time, with or without notice.

10. Termination of Accounts

We may suspend or terminate your access to Homehub.Guide if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You engage in prohibited activities.
  • We are required to do so by law or regulatory authorities.

If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your stored content.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Homehub.Guide is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homehub.Guide and its operators will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits due to your use of the service.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sumner County and Gallatin Tennessee. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of Sumner County Chancery Court.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If significant changes occur, we will notify users via email or in-app notifications. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
